This week, a dear friend of mine was rushed into the hospital because she has two brain aneurysms (she is doing quite well now, though will be in the hospital for a few weeks and will have to have a third surgery soon). Coming home from the hospital on Tuesday,  we weren't sure about her recovery- it was touch and go - so I stopped by a mall because I had to get my mind off of serious things.

Too busy these days!  We received new federal funding to disperse, and we're working our tails off! Hoping to get a perfume post in this coming weekend. Oh, here's a photo of the summertime scarf I'm knitting when I DO have down-time - I probably won't be finished with it until fall, though!

Received Signature Scent's swap package today! Beautiful samples of Frapin Caravelle Epicee, Hermes Un Jardin apres la Mousson, Guerlain Samsara, LeLabo Vetiver 46, and PG samples Papyrus de Ciane and Cuir D'Iris. I cannot wait to test them!!! I'm trying to mail Signature Scent 8 2ml samples for our swap. I got turned down from both my Post Office AND the UPS store.  The lady at the UPS complimented my perfume (Tauer's LadDM btw), though. I'm absolutely FURIOUS!!   If I was flying to London, I could take them in my little plastic zip-lock bag.   I'm allowed to take one zip-lock bag full of stuff if every item is in a 3 ounce

I was in a sniffing frenzy Tuesday night - after meeting up with some family members for dinner after work (on the far east end of town - I live far west), I passed a Saks on the way home and just HAD to see what they offered. Had a long busy day, and I was up late last night watching the news re: health reform, and then my son needed me to take him shopping (he doesn't drive).. I finally get home at 7:30 p.m. and look what is in the mail!!!
