what is the scent of Denmark?

My husband aka The Moth, will be performing in Denmark at the Sejero Festival.

What is the smell of Copenhagen in late July?  What will be the smell of my husband in Denmark?  The scent of the island, of the people there?

  1. Very interesting music, Carol - very dark and moody. I take it you'll be too busy with your job(s) to go with him, or am I wrong? At any rate, congrats to The Moth!

And how are you doing, doll? Has the greenhouse work slowed down now? Whatcha been wearing perfume-wise?

    1. Hello Suz! Some of his pieces are less dark than others, but yes, they all are a bit moody. I cannot go due to my various commitments, and lack of money, and someone has to take care of our animals which is more expense if I was able to go. Part of the deal is that the Festival folks are flying him out there, plus free room and board! I'm so happy for him!

I'm doing well, thank you! Doing a LOT of weeding at the garden center/nursery. The Farmers Market is bursting at the seams these days, which is wonderful! Our two gardens (home and community garden) are thriving, though the community garden raised bed got chomped a bit by deer.

Perfume-wise - not a lot. Don't want to attract bugs while at work, so I usually only wear 'fume on Saturdays. I do have a couple of actual perfume posts in the works!!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

  2. It's good to "see" you around, Carol.

I've never been to Denmark so if your husband has anything to report back after his trip, please share :)

  3. It was nice to click over and hear some of his music, and to see your response to Suzanne about what's new with you. Sounds like a good-busy summer, and a productive one. Those are always nice, right?

    1. Hello Natalie! It has been a good and busy summer; I cannot believe it is nearly August already. Where did the time go? Hope you're having a good one, too!

  4. I enjoyed that piece by The MOTH very much - I listen to minimalist composers quite a bit and that would fit right into my collection. ;-) Mr Bonkers would be interested to hear it too I think.

Hope The MOTH has a grand old time in Denmark - if he hasn't been and come back already, such is the tardiness of my comment. I have been to the country on a number of occasions, but don't really associate it with any smells in particular. I am sure Marie or Sheila or Asali could help us out there!

    1. Hey Bonks!! Maybe we can send you a CD?

He did have a wonderful time in Denmark, though didn't come back with any scent stories. He said, though, that the country looks a heck of lot like Ohio!
