oh for pete's sake, I missed my blog anniversary (again)

January 15th marked Bloody Frida's third anniversary!

How about a give-away, huh?  U.S.A. only (sorry to my international readers as I cannot mail perfume out of country.)

Just post something about your day below. Anything!  Perfume-related or not.

Now remember, although I don't make you do a 'captcha' thingamajig, I do moderate the replies so it may take awhile for your post to show up.

You have until Friday, January 25th at 5:00 p.m. to reply to win!

I'll use that automatic number generator to choose the lucky winner.

Oh, what will you win?

Well you can choose THREE perfumes from my full bottle or large decant collection (see pages on the right side of the main page).  Depending on much I have on hand to share, your samples can be anywhere from 1 ml to 2.5 mls.

How's that sound?

    2. P.S. I forgot to say, no need to enter me in the giveaway. I just wanted to raise a glass of bubbly (uh, well, ok--coffee) in your honor! I"m also so happy to have you among my perfume friends!

  2. Happy Blogoversary! If it makes you feel any better, I missed mine by about three months, but may rectify that before it gets closer to the next one.

That sounds like a great prize all right, and I understand your reluctance to ship perfume internationally, so I am just stopping by to say hello and congratulations!

Today, I swapped the light green moss stitch scarf I made for my friend Clare for Christmas for the variegated brown one I finished yesterday. It gives her a bit more wiggle room in the neck area and I am happy to wear the green one instead.

    1. Hello dearest Bonks!! And thank you so much! Time is so weird - I look back on some posts and think "did I really type that!?" Happy that through this wonderful blog-o-world we have been able to meet both virtually and in real life! xox

Oh I love swapping stuff - I'm glad it all worked out! I

  3. Yes, the older I get, the quicker time gets away from me. The other day, someone I work with celebrated his 5th year at our company. I'm still thinking of him as "new" here! Sheesh. Getting ready to experience an extreme cold-snap here in New England, I am comforting myself with L'AP Tea for Two. Discovered it only recently but liking it quite a lot. Have a great day!

    1. Hello Queenie! I totally agree with your re: time - I was thinking just today when I was talking w/my son about his recent trip to NYC how long ago it has been since the two of us went to NYC together to celebrate my 40th birthday, which was THIRTEEN years ago! What!? Cannot be that long ago, can it? Sigh. ;)

Enjoy the T4T - thinking I'll make myself a cup of tea now that you put the thought in my head. Thank you ! And you're entered for the draw!

  4. Happy anniversary! We have a below zero wind chill right now and tomorrow is supposed to be brutally cold so I'm staying inside with a nice cup of tea. I can't get too cozy though because there's housework to do. I'm also debating buying a bottle of something to take advantage of that Penny Lane discount. It's so tempting...

    1. Hello Poodle and thank you! We are having the same temps. Just got back from outside since I had to give the chickens some warm water as it was frozen already, and gave them some warmed up left-over oatmeal. Brrrrrr!

That Penny Lane discount is very tempting - but to use it I would have to use a credit card and I swore off them in the summer. Darn it! Let me know if you get anything!

      You're entered in the draw!

    2. I want chickens but then on days like today, I'm not so sure. It's nasty cold out there. At least my parrots are inside.
I said I wouldn't buy anything for a while but I could not resist that discount so I got a bottle of Heeley Cardinal which may be the most expensive perfume for me to date. I had Christmas money from mom though so its more like a gift.

    3. ooh wonderful re: Cardinal!! Perfect for this cold weather!

  9. Well, for pete's sake, I'm glad you remembered it before it got too late! (So that I could have the opportunity to wish you a very Happy Blog-o-versary!) :D

No need to include me in the drawing, Carol. Just wanted to stop by and lift a hot toddy in your honor. :)

    1. Oh dear Suzanne - thank you so much!!

(My DH aka The Moth often uses the phrase "ofer" - a nod to "Green Acres" since Oliver used to say "oh for pete's sake" so often it got shortened to "ofer"!)

  10. Well I get up and drink coffee, feed my dogs let them outside to do their buisness and the dogs next door come over and run them up & down the fence then I make them come back in. My days are pretty much the same as I am a recluse.

  12. Mine was a good news/bad news day. The good news was that I didn't go to work; the bad news was that I wasn't feeling well. Got to stay in bed and snuggle with The Cat, Her Royal Highness Sasha.

Happy Blogoversary! Just remember: Ides of Jan.

    1. Oh Taffy, I hope you feel better soon. Snuggling with The Cat sounds wonderful. And I had to laugh about the Ides of January - I had never thought of that before. Thank you! Hopefully now I will never forget.

    1. Hello Erich: Dumb postal regs. The only way you're legally allowed to send perfume is ground (or boat, I guess). Nice to see you here, btw!

  14. Dear Carol,

    Happy belated blogoversary to you!

    Now to business:

    1. I do want to get entered into the draw for a change :) I'm not sure if there are three perfumes on your list that I want to try but I'll worry about it if I win ;)

    2. If I do not win, can you do me a favor and add Subscribe by Email widget to your blog? Since I do not really use blogger I do not get notifications and I wouldn't want to miss your next anniversary (if you remember about it next year).

    3. If I do win (it happens sometimes, right?) can you still add that subscription option? ;)

(Let me know if you need help with that - I can guide you through)
