What a day!

I spent over 5 hours cataloging and organizing all my samples. I hope to have the list posted soon - I want to highlight those I have mentioned on this blog, and then figure out where to go from here.

I'm wearing a ton of stuff.  While going through so many samples, I just had to stop and smell the roses, or the vetiver, or the..well you get the idea.

Thanks goes out to all of you wonderful perfume lovers - bloggers and non-blogger alike - who have swapped, or just sent me samples from the love in your hearts.  And thank you again for those who read this blog!

I'm overjoyed and overwhelmed!

(This photo was actually taken at the end of August, but I was happy because I just canned a bunch of stuff and felt accomplished, and I'm also super happy today so I thought I'd post it.  Also note that everyone looks good when you take a photo from a high angle! ;)

  2. Woo Hoo! Big congrats and I look forward to seeing your list. I loved when you added your lists of bottles and minis and decants.

Nice pic too, and not just because of the angle. Super happy looks good on you.

    1. well hello there Lindaloo!!!! I'm glad that you like those added pages - I still have to add my 'minis' to that one page. I'm going to take the samples list and highlight the ones I have mentioned here already, and then figure out what I'll mention next. Wow, there was a lot of good stuff I found my organizing all of it, and interesting to see what houses I have most of.

(and thanks too for the photo compliment!)

    1. Thanks sweets! There are more than of few of your gifts on that list. It still needs tweaking - but I have got to mow the lawn and can more salsa today - the tweaks will have to wait! xox

  6. Have you tried Vetiver Fatal by Atelier Cologne? It's a clean, transparent vetiver. I like it.

    1. Hello Joan - no I haven't - I have only tried two from that line - the Vanilla Incensee? and Orange Sanguine. I'll have to look out for that one. My fav vetiver is Sel de Vetiver (so far)

  7. Yes, you do look simply blooming in that wonderful shot! A walking Liz Earle advert, no less. : - )

And I bet it would take you that long to catalogue your stash, something I doubt I will ever summon up the wherewithal to attempt with my own collection, but I take *your* hat off to you!

    1. Two things: high angle and black and white = everyone looks great! I had to google Liz E. ;)

Thank goodness I had a lot of them already sorted alphabetically. What took the longest was organizing all the loose ones!

  9. You're a better man than I, Gunga Din, Gunga Din (I like to say that ).
Seriously, I'm impressed. I have, ahem. "system", but I've been, ahem "distracted."
    Plus, what a great photo!

One negative about organizing and sorting through all those? I'm afraid to touch them now!

    2. As my collection grows, I've had to do some rearranging, and decided that two of my shelves in my mini-closet will be perfumes: one full bottles and decants, one for my supplies and new label-maker (yay!) and I'm moving my samples to the big wide n' shallow drawer on my roll-top desk. So now I'm trying to decide how to organize them in there. Little square votive candle holders from the Dollar store? Cigar-style boxes and Ziploc bags? Ammo boxes? I haven't made up my mind yet.

    3. Ammo boxes seem to be the perfect thing - my friend F in town has some; plus they are super cool looking. Will you post about it? I'd love to see the collection. And yay for new label-maker!
