Add a little L'Aromarine Orange Santal to the bathwater.
Sink into delicious water (but don't drink it).
Enjoy the soak.
Wash hair with Giovanni shampoo. Condition with Bath and Body Work's Orange Ginger.
Scrub off with Johnson and Parker Ginger and Green Tea shower gel
Need to find a non-scented body lotion, though olive oil works pretty well.
Ahh, life is good!
EDIT: So I was thinking - can any of you recommend a ginger scented perfume!?
Would Origins Ginger Essence count?
ReplyDeleteSushi Imperiale!
ReplyDeleteExcept, well, it doesn't technically have any ginger notes. At all. But I read it as ginger all the same.
Hello Amelia! Thanks for stopping by. I'll have to try that, thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteCF, I will order a sample ASAP! Thanks for the suggestion.
DSH Gigembre is great...I need to send you some stuff !
ReplyDeletehello Carol - you are much too generous ! thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you want exclusively ginger - but the most gingery thing I've smelt is Hermes Jardin Apres le Mousson. Let me know what you think.
ReplyDeleteJess/MPL, you're absolutely right - JALM is gingery - I love it! But I'm thinking something more upfront ginger-ish. Thanks - I'll put some on today to see what I think
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried SL five o'clock au gingembre - but the name is promising. I love Omnia and Like This.
ReplyDeleteOne other thought. I was reading somewhere about a bath oil by Philosophy called Gingerbread and something. Just thought I'd mention it.
ReplyDeletekj and MPL - great suggestions - I'll add them to my list.
ReplyDeleteRecently our household has been cooking with garlic ginger paste - I'm all about ginger these days!
The SL mentioned above is very, very good.
ReplyDeleteHello Geordan! So good to see you here - I'll definitely have to try that SL - I'm a little wary of some of his creations because a few have been too drippy/sweet for me, but have just fallen in deep like with Borneo 1834 this Thanksgiving - maybe it's the time of the year for Lutens!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to suggest Parfumerie Generale Un Crime Exotique. To me, it smells _exactly_ like pfeffernusse cookies.
ReplyDeleteoooh thanks CF!!! Yum, I love those cookies
ReplyDeleteYou all rock! Now I have a full list of samples to get - I'll have to make sure the Moth gets them for me for a EARLY holiday present! ;)
I'm not a ginger fan myself, but, like kjanicki, I would recommend Omnia. It has a 'ginger in the dentist's office' vibe that is deceptively pleasant.
ReplyDeletethanks Josephine!
ReplyDeleteHi! I would recommend Etat Libre D`Orange Tilda Swinton Like This.
ReplyDeleteHello Timka - thanks for stopping by, and great suggestion!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sweet ginger at the moment is DSH Gingembre and Bois 1920 Sushi Imperiale.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite "fresh" ginger is Jo Wood Usiku, a very natural smelling, freshly grated ginger.
oooh that Jo Wood Usiku sounds perfect! Thank you!!! (and thanks for stopping by)
ReplyDeleteI know this is... eight months late. BUT OH I AM EMAILING YOU.
